‍Inspired by a popular 1990s deck of playing cards from China called ‘Trendy Fashion Poker’, this publication is more than a simple game. While the original deck featured 54 fiercely stylish models, Silvermine Poker reshuffles the concept into a fashion show drawn from everyday life. Featuring characters selected from photographs in the Beijing Silvermine archive — a collection of over one million negatives rescued from a recycling plant on the outskirts of Beijing — these unlikely style icons strike poses, model trends, and channel the shared dreams of an era.

‍受中国九十年代风靡一时的《新潮时装扑克》启发，《银矿扑克》并不只是一个单纯的纸牌游戏。原版扑克中的54位时装模特，以锋利高调的姿态，定义了那个年代对“时髦”的想象；而《银矿扑克》则将这一概念重新洗牌，将时装秀从T台带到日常生活中。

‍牌中的人物，均选自《北京银矿》档案中的照片——这批底片都是从北京郊区废品回收厂中抢救修缮而得，数量如今已超过一百万张。这一群不经意的潮流定义者在镜头前摆出潇洒、时髦的姿态，演绎出那个时代的集体幻想。
